the dessert to serve for surprising your guests!

A creamy dessert that everyone will love! 



  • 800ml (3 ¼ cup) milk;
  • 8 egg yolks;
  • 1 lemon (zest);
  • 60g (½ cup) cornstarch;
  • 180g (1 cup) sugar;
  • 300g (3 cups) biscuits, crumbled;
  • Powdered sugar, pine nuts for serving.


Heat milk and lemon zest until it almost reach a boiling point.

Whisk egg yolks with cornstarch and sugar.

Pour in some hot milk into the yolks and whisk vigorously. Continue pouring milk into the yolks and whisking.

Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, while whisking, for 10 minutes or until thick and bubbly.

Let the cream cool down slightly, then pipe it into the glasses layering crumbled biscuits in-between.
